Indonesian Muhammad Rian Ardianto/Fajar Alfian defeated Malaysian stars Goh V Shem/Tan Wee Kiong at the Malaysia Masters 2018. It was the first major title for the Indonesian pair. The Indonesian youngsters are both 21 years old, but they were able to overcome 5 points deficit with the experienced Malaysian pair to reverse second game and won the third game to claim Men’s Doubles title.

Goh V Shem/Tan Wee Kiong won silver medal on their home soil.
Although Goh V Shem/Tan Wee Kiong lost in finals, they won the first silver medal after they paired up again. It is just their second tournament since the reunion.
Tai Tzu Ying went through a tough match in Women’s Singles finals with her familiar rival Ratchanok Intanon. Tai ended with the silver medal with an intense score 16-21 21-14 22-24.

HK Vittinghus, a new member of team VICTOR reached semifinals in Men’s Singles for the first time since he won the title at 2016 Australian Open. The veteran showed his experience through the whole week and defeated the youngsters he faced to get the bronze medal.
H.K. Vttinghus showed his experienced skills and well-known dive in the tournament.
Team Malaysian did well on their home soil as well. Besides the Men’s Doubles Goh / Tan, Mixed Doubles pair Goh Soon Huat/Shevon Jamie Lai reached semifinals. Women’s Singles rising stars Goh Jin Wei, Lee Ying Ying also reached quarterfinals in this big events.
