Tai Tzu Ying advanced to the quarterfinals of the Super 750 VICTOR Denmark Open today by defeating Busanan Ongbamrungphan and securing her 500th career victory (including singles and doubles). This achievement marks another impressive milestone for Tai. With 497 wins in women singles, Tai also holds the record for the most victories in women's singles history.

Tai's 500 career victories are based on the BWF tournament software website, which includes her wins in both singles and doubles matches but excludes team events.

Since her debut in BWF international tournament in 2007 and lifting her first title at the 2011 US Open, Tai has consistently showed her extraordinary skills and dominance. Up to now, she has won 34 major titles, including three BWF World Tour Finals champions in 2014, 2016, and 2020, and All England Open titles in 2017, 2018, and 2020.

Tai also claimed a silver medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and a silver medal at the 2021 World Championships. Additionally, she holds the record for the most weeks as World No. 1 in women's singles, with 214 weeks.
